Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our Therapy Services in Private Patient's Unit based at the Royal Free Hospital.The Private Patient's Unit (PPU) offers a diverse range of specialities including; long term/complex neurological conditions, respiratory, elderly care, general medical, surgery, oncology and step down from critical care, including patients with a tracheostomy. A number of our patient cohort are from overseas and come for second opinions/neuro - rehabilitation.
The successful applicant will be the physiotherapy team lead on the unit and therefore will be responsible for the provision of a highly specialist, evidence based physio service for patients within these speciality areas, supervising and overseeing physiotherapy services within PPU inpatient and adhoc PPU outpatient settings.

Main duties of the job
The post holder:
- Based in the PPU multi-profession therapy team alongside dietician, occupational therapists, speech and language therapist and therapy assistants and will have daily contact with the PPU clinical lead therapist
- Responsible for the continuing development of a highly specialist physiotherapy service, providing expert assessment and treatment for adult inpatients in the PPU including adhoc outpatient services.
- Highly skilled and experienced in the Physiotherapy management of patient's with a tracheostomy and respiratory conditions.
- A strong leader with line management and will also be required to support senior and junior physiotherapy staff, rehab technicians and students.
- Working as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that patients receive timely assessments and interventions while taking responsibility for the management of a team.
- Deputising for the Therapies and Dietetic Service Lead for PPU, to ensure the development of collaborative and multidisciplinary team working practices across the Private Patient's Unit
- Be actively involved in Physiotherapy service development within PPU Service and assist clinical lead with audits
