Job summary

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior School Nurse to join our developing, enthusiastic and dynamic School Nursing team.

Main duties of the job

You will take a leadership role in the delivery of high quality service provision that promotes and improves school health and addresses inequalities.

Working in collaboration with the Team Leader you will provide clinical leadership and supervision within a skill mixed team to facilitate a culture of learning and reflective practice.

Person Specification

Education/Qualification

Essential

  • Current NMC registration
  • Evidence of relevant continuing professional development
  • Specialist Practitioner qualification


Desirable

  • RSCN /RN Child.
  • Evidence of study at masters level
  • Evidence of leadership CPD


Experience

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working with children, young people and families within a community setting.
  • Previous experience of working at a senior level.


Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of the public health, education and social care agenda.
  • Knowledge of appropriate legislation and government policy in relation to children and young people and community settings.
  • Awareness of DFE policy and Guidance.
