Job summary
The Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead (WAM) CMHT has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse who wishes to join our dynamic and multi-disciplinary team. A Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm working pattern is just one of the attractions this opportunity will provide to you. The post holder will have the opportunity to develop group work, as well as individual intervention skills.
The office is situated in Maidenhead's Town Centre. The A4, M4, M40 and M25 are all easily accessible making travel to and from very straightforward. Links to the centre of London are also excellent.
The post holder will provide high quality treatments, care co-ordination, long term casework, and will be involved in recovery focused treatment interventions. This requires working collaboratively with other disciplines and other teams in the locality to ensure a comprehensive service is provided to the local and diverse population. Should you be interested in the post, training opportunities will become available for our Structured Clinical Management and Managing Emotions Programme. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside a range of professionals including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, support workers, and our administration team.
Main duties of the job
To work as a Senior Mental Health Nurse in the Community Mental Health Team. This is a multi-disciplinary team, with a single manager operating in a locality where there is a high degree of integration between all mental health services.
The postholder will be responsible for the formulation, execution, and evaluation of a care plan for a designated number of patients who may present with significant complexities. Individual plans will be developed in discussion with the patient and informed by the wider team using the principles of recovery.
As an experienced member of the team the post holder will manage and supervise junior staff and actively participate in quality assurance and education programmes.
