Job summary

We have a fabulous opportunity for Registered Mental Health Nurses (or Newly Qualified Mental Health Nurses) to join the Bolsover & Clay Cross Older Adults Community Mental Health Team.

You will need to be enthusiastic, resourceful and caring and have excellent communication skills.

An awareness of mental health and knowledge of working with Older Adults will need to be demonstrated.

In return, we offer a full induction, development of knowledge, skills and confidence, in relation to all aspects of the post.

In addition, we would welcome contribution towards service improvements/development within the team.

We work closely with families and carers as well as other services, including social services who may be involved in supporting our patients who have complex needs.

We cover the Bolsover & Clay Cross localities.

Professional development for further learning is encouraged and you will receive robust clinical and managerial supervision, alongside the wider support and in-house training.

You will provide supervision to team members and mentor students.

Main duties of the job

• Assessment and care planning.
• Case load management
• Working and supporting carers
• Delivering treatment and intervention
• Attendance at MDT
• Administering depots
• Supporting the care home project
• Supporting junior members of staff and students

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

• NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse
• Recent, relevant experience

Desirable

• Supervision training
• SSSA Trained
• Community experience
