An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Hospital Pharmacy Team of the Year 2022 at Glangwili General Hospital, as a rotational Specialist Pharmacist.
Glangwili General Hospital is a busy District General Hospital with approximately 420 beds. The successful applicant will join a well-established team of pharmacy staff providing care to a wide range of medical and surgical specialities including coronary care, acute stoke, respiratory, urology, trauma & orthopaedics, obstetrics & gynaecology, medicines information, critical care, paediatrics and the emergency department.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of our friendly and passionate pharmacy team and contribute to theimplementation of medicines optimisation, striving for excellence. You will provide a specialist and professional service to enable us to meet high standards of patient care and safety. You will be involved in the education and training of pharmacy colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
As a Specialist Pharmacist you should have the ability to develop effective working relationships, to challenge and to prioritise your own work. You will need to be reliable, efficient, responsive and demonstrate a flexible approach to the needs of this challenging and growing service. The successful post holder will also require excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, innovative and committed to providing high quality care to patients.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
