Clinical Lead - Primary Care Directorate :

Looking for something different from traditional general practice?

Would you like to become a member of our Primary Care Directorate leadership team providing innovative care to our patient population as part of an outstanding CQC organisation and HSJ Trust of the Year?

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Clinical Lead to join our team. This is a pivotal post in overseeing the delivery of effective, quality and innovative integrated primary care services. We are a friendly and well organised team with a forward thinking approach. You will lead the senior clinical team, including ANPs, NPs, UCPs and Prescribing Pharmacist across three general practice services, holding responsibility for service delivery and all aspects of clinical safety at service level.

We are a high achieving, patient centred Directorate having implemented a care model to improve patient experience, providing urgent and routine appointments. As part of the role, you will be responsible for implementing our clinical model, requiring broad and significant clinical experience within General Practice. You will be responsible for the day to day clinical governance for the Directorate, feeding into the wider Directorate leadership structure and Trust governance processes. You will ensure that services are delivered in the most efficient and effective way using innovation and business development to support this.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for supporting the Clinical Director and wider Trust Leadership Teams in ensuring that services are delivered with high quality clinical interventions.

You will ensure that the Trust's statutory and business plans are aligned to evidence based practice which is informed by national standards including NICE, CQC and STP priorities.

Job responsibilities

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Lead will be responsible for ensuring that all clinical services are delivered to the highest standards in line with national standards and local policies.
  • The Clinical Lead will provide clinical leadership, supporting the process of effective clinical practice including leadership on the effectiveness agenda.
  • The Clinical Lead will operate as a subject matter expert in their relevant field (Primary Care General Practice) providing guidance and support to the Clinical Directorates and Trust management teams.
  • Where the Clinical Director is not a Psychiatrist the Clinical Lead will take responsibility for Medical Job Planning with the involvement of Clinical Director.
  • Advises on the development and implementation of nationally or locally agreed clinical audits within the Directorate in order to achieve continuous service improvement.

  • o An acknowledged management qualification or significant proven experience of managing a complex service.
