Job summary

We are recruiting for a Service Coordinator, within the Emergency Department at Lister Hospital & Urgent Treatment Centre at QEII, Unplanned Care Division to cover Maternity Leave. The successful candidate will share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We are looking for an individual who has an excellent track record of delivering strong leadership and analytical skills, coupled with a strong desire to improve and succeed.

The post holder will participate in the inputting of demand and capacity modelling for the service and in conjunction with the General and Service Managers, support and deliver performance sustainability as well as contribute to the design and delivery of operational procedures to ensure compliance with Emergency Care standards.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across different specialities ensuring and encouraging internal professional standards are adhered to at all times.

You will support the service's leadership team with delivering our quality and safety agenda to achieve an \Excellence status for the service.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will support the Emergency & Acute Medicine Service Manager in leading all aspects of Unplanned Care services. This will include performance management and service delivery of our emergency care standards including actively participating in the delivery of our urgent and emergency care recovery plan and a challenging financial sustainability programme.

The post-holder will be directly responsible for the management and co-ordination of secretarial and administrative staff working within the service, including responsibility for a budget.
