We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual with excellent project management skills to be part of a newly development improvement programme.

You will be someone with demonstrable experience of managing and delivering a project with excellent organisational, communication and problem solving skills. You will be someone who is able to deliver projects using project management techniques and Improving Together methodology whilst keeping to time and budget constraints and maintaining quality.

The improvement programme has been developed to support and deliver improvement across a broad number of work streams. The successful candidate may work across a number of different projects within the Improvement Programme as well as support broader system wide programmes of work.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the implementation of improvement projects across the trust.
  • The successful candidate may be asked to support projects across the system.
  • Manage key objectives stated within the agreed budget and
  • Develop the project governance using appropriate project management techniques.
  • Develop and manage the detailed project plan (timeline), identifying the tasks to be completed within appropriate timescales, the task owner and the dependencies.
  • Manage the project benefits realisation plan, ensuring that benefits owners realise the benefits within agreed timescales and escalating to the Operational Improvement Manager a risk is identified.
  • Present project updates at meetings.
  • Manage the project risk and issues registers.
  • Escalate to the Operational Improvement Manager if key targets are not going to be met, with suggested actions for their
  • Conduct regular project evaluations and review meetings to identify current and future problems, and initiate actions for their
  • Undertaken the post project evaluation, including the production of the lessons learned
  • Facilitate the development of operational policies with clinical and operational teams.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level in experience and further training
  • PRINCE2 or other equivalent qualification in project management


Knowledge & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering a project
  • Experience of working closely with clinicians and managers of varying seniority
  • Experience of analysing problems and identifying solutions
  • Experience of developing operational policies and processes


Skills

Essential

  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills with the ability to deliver objectives within an agreed timeframe
  • Able to analyse and interpret information of varying complexity and present it in a comprehensive and professional manner
  • Excellent communicator with strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence and effect change at both a clinical
  • Demonstrable ability to manage complex relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent chairing and facilitation skills
  • Able to produce clear, accurate, written and verbal reports to Board level
