Childrens services within the East Integrated Health Community is looking to recruit a forward thinking, innovative Senior Nurse to join the Childrens Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Head of Nursing for CAMHS, Neurodevelopmental and Learning Disability services. If you are committed to giving high standards of patient care, have a strong focus on patient quality & safety, can work flexibly to lead the teams and have senior nurse experience we really want to hear from you.

To apply you will need to demonstrate significant experience as a Senior Nurse leader at Band 8a or above. The role requires you to be an excellent communicator, leader and passionate about Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing. Your portfolio must demonstrate that of a high profile clinical leader and have had regular management experience of a clinical area relevant to CAMHS, Neurodevelopmental and Learning Disability services.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the Head of Nursing in providing the strategic direction for Children and YoungPeople services (CAMHS/Neurodevelopmental and Learning Disability). Undertake alead role in designated directorate projects or programmes of work. Responsible forensuring the delivery of the BCUHB Nursing Strategy.
  • Responsible and accountable for the planning, organising, management and the delivery of high quality, safe and effective Nursing services, ensuring they are evidence based and measurable (metrics).
  • Provide expertise and strong professional leadership for areas of responsibility having direct clinical involvement and extensive knowledge of CAMHS/Neurodevelopmental and Learning Disability Specialties.
  • Support the Head of Nursing in the delivery of the East IHC Nursing Governance assurance framework .e.g.: (Attendance at the IHC Quality & Safety meeting

  • N.M.C. Registered nurse -Mental Health or Learning Disability
  • Masters Degree in Nursing, relevant nursing experience or willing to undertake and complete within 3 years.


Desirable

  • Post-graduate management qualification

  • Significant experience in a senior managerial post.

  • Proven ability to analyse highly complex problems and to develop and successfully implement practical and workable solutions to address them
