Job summary
The post holder will work as part of the nursing/multidisciplinary team within the Cardiac Day Unit, providing a high standard of nursing care to all patients attending the unit for cardiac procedures, e.g. coronary angiography, permanent pacemaker, and complex device implants including CRT and ICD insertion. They will be expected to work in rotation between the Day Case Unit and the Cardiac Catheter Lab as required by the service, following the completion of work based competencies and assessment.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the cardiac catheter lab/cardiac day unit in the Princess of Wales Hospital (Bridgend), where we offer Cwm Taf Morgannwg patients' diagnostic cardiac catheterisation, bradycardia and complex pacemaker device implantation.
We currently have a band 5 vacancy and are looking to recruit a registered nurse preferably with acute secondary care experience, and cardiology or catheter lab experience would be desirable.

We are seeking a registered nurse who enjoys working in a busy environment and is a good team player. The job can be physically demanding and you must be able to stand for long periods in radiation personal protective equipment/garments.Training will be provided to support your catheter lab / cardiology career with specific competencies for your professional development.
