We have an exciting opportunity for band 5 Registered Nurses to join the Out of Hours team and will include an 11.5 hour shift pattern between the hours of 8pm and 8am with various part time hours available.

Applications are invited from registered nurses who wish to join a friendly, dynamic and progressive team based within City Health Care Partnership CIC Out of Hours Nursing team. The service operates across Hull and East Riding providing care for patients requiring nursing intervention in their own home.

Main duties of the job

You must be flexible in your approach to practice, have excellent communication skills, be adaptable and be able to lead and drive forward change ensuring patient safety is maintained at all times.

  • Degree in Nursing Studies / First level Registered Nurse or working towards final assessment to achieve first level registration


Desirable

  • Post-registration qualifications
  • Mentorship qualification


Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the role of a community nurse
  • Knowledge of legislation impacting on service delivery
  • Knowledge of the modernisation agenda
  • Demonstrate an understanding of evidence based practice
  • Knowledge of local initiatives
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the MDT
  • Basic IT skills
  • Knowledge and skills in the assessment process


Desirable

  • Able to mentor students
