An exciting opportunity for an experienced ACP or Junior Doctor to shape and develop work within a national pilot project on a 12-month fixed term contract for up to 4 days per week for ACPs or 2 days per week for Junior Doctors.

Enhance: Leadership and social medicine is a national project aiming to develop generalist skills for integrated healthcare teams to be able to deliver modern healthcare. We are looking for a fellow to develop system level working opportunities within Derbyshire for Enhance trainees to experience this level of working in addition to the usual organisational working available.

There are now trainees from different professional backgrounds learning together within Enhance in Derbyshire and benefiting from each other's experiences and different view-points and would like the successful fellow to work to enable and coordinate the available opportunities, capture the impact that these have and create resources which can then be shared across the Midlands. With the support of supervisors and colleagues, the fellow will be central to enabling piloting of learning opportunities and adapting these in response to feedback.

Main duties of the job

We would like the successful fellow to engage with system partners to scope potential opportunities for Enhance trainees to work within the Joined-up Care Derbyshire System and get involved with system level working.

It will be important to work with stakeholders across the system (including and importantly, those outside of healthcare) to develop innovative learning opportunities to broaden experience for those participating in Enhance in Derbyshire.

As a trailblazer site it will be important that we create resources and learning which can be shared with other areas within the midlands and beyond as they develop their own Enhance offer.

Evaluation is the other vital element to the fellowship as we need to explore ways to capture the impact upon participants in the programme and the wider Integrated Care Board area.

About us

Derbyshire Community Health Services is driven by our strategic objectives and organisational values and we look for people who are strongly aligned with them.

Fellowship is open to applicants from both medical and non-medical applicants (please see details within person specification for details of levels of qualification in detail) 0.4WTE is offered for junior doctors with at least 12-months experience within the NHS and having completed Foundation Programme training (or equivalent). Project dates 1st August 2023- 31st July 2024.
