To manage a caseload of complex patients using specialist evidence-based and/or patient centred principles.
To advise patients prior to and following bariatric surgery.
To assist the Advanced Specialist Dietitian with effective implementation of the surgical bariatric service for adults in Worcestershire.
To be responsible for contributing to student training programmes for B and C placement students at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, and assessing student progress.
Main duties of the job
Working as an experienced autonomous practitioner under the direction of the Advanced Specialist Dietitian to provide a high standard of patient focused care through specialised assessment to patients referred for bariatric surgery.
To plan and deliver a high quality surgical bariatric service working in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team and Advanced Specialist Dietitian.
To be assisting in arranging student programmes for B and C placements at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, and supervising and assessing students.
To help implement the Therapy Clinical Governance agenda to further improve the quality of the service.
To assist with the day to day planning co-ordination, monitoring, evaluation and delivery of the dietetic service.
