Job summary
Applications are invited for an opportunity to work within the Medical Business Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in an exciting role as an Assistant Service Line Manager.
Main duties of the job
This post will support the Service Line Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the business unit. The role offers a great opportunity to play a key role in the smooth running of the Trust and you will work closely with the Service Line Managers, Clinical Leads, Matrons and Business Partners in managing the Financial, HR, Performance and Quality issues in the services. Reporting to the Service Line Manager, you are expected to identify and troubleshoot problems with the delivery of the service, working to solve them whilst keeping disruption to a minimum.
About us
The post holder should have experience of managing operational services, delivering service improvement projects and transformation, budgetary and staff management. You will be an able and decisive operational manager and have the ability to develop and lead specific projects, managing any associated change processes and able to attend core meetings both on behalf of and in the absence of the Service Line Manager. Self-motivation with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are crucial to this role.
