The Transformation team has a critical role in delivering productivity and efficiency improvements throughout the organisation in line with King's Strategy 2021-26 formed around providing the best, sustainable, patient centred care. Specific projects and programmes of work, many of which involve service redesign, cost improvement, use of benchmarking, GIRFT, digital and recovery plans The implementation of continuous improvement methodology so that the team can help the organisation to deliver its BOLD strategy (Brilliant People, Outstanding Care, Leaders in Research Innovation & Education, Diversity Equality & Inclusion at the heart of everything we do), and Providing a shoulder to shoulder approach alongside operational, clinical, nursing, finance, workforce and network colleagues in order to embed sustainable change.

Main duties of the job
The Transformation Delivery Lead is part of the Transformation and is responsible for effective delivery of assigned projects within one of more Transformation Programmes. The Transformation Delivery Lead will contribute to programme planning, project start-up and delivery, promoting an understanding of the Transformation Programme and championing the professional discipline of project management with King's.
The Transformation Delivery Lead will be responsible for the full project life cycle and project budget for the duration of time they are allocated to a given project. They may be allocated to more than one project at a time. The key relationships of this role will be with the care group triumvirates (Clinical Director, Head of Nursing and General Manager) and will need to have credibility in order to win the hearts and minds of any change proposed.
The Transformation Delivery Lead is accountable to the Senior Transformation Delivery Lead & Deputy/Director of Transformation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- The post holder will be responsible for projects within a Transformation Programme. The projects will be across care groups and organisational boundaries
- The post holder will be expected to provide expert project management skills and support to the clinical/speciality area.
- Provide direction to project sponsors, project managers operational managers to guide them through wider Kings governance processes
- Work on behalf of the Senior Transformation Delivery Lead to ensure alignment of programmes and projects to the overall portfolio and strategic direction
- Work with the Senior Transformation Delivery Lead to develop, refine and champion project management best practice across Kings
- Provide expertise on programme structuring, planning, benefits quantification and tracking on behalf of the wider team

- Minimum of degree level or equivalent experience
- Experience at a senior level in a complex organisation
- Proven track record of service improvement and/or operational management with responsibility for the full range of operational and clinical services
- Experience of working as a operational manager in large complex environment or equivalent consultancy experience
- Evidence of managing service change at a senior level
- Evidence of using change/service improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, lean to at least yellow belt level
- Highly developed leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams
- Ability to lead the redesign of services to ensure they are delivered to the highest standard and are cost effective
Desirable
- Information Analyst experience
- Qualification in a Project management tools such as Prince II, MSP etc.
