Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit to the above position within the Trust's small in-house maintenance and grounds service. You would be working at a variety of NHS premises throughout Sheffield including in and outpatient facilities, providing an excellent customer service and a high standard of maintenance.
This opportunity would suit a time served Electrical Craftsperson and who has the aptitude, knowledge and skills to work on a vast array of Electrical infrastructure and equipment within the Estate.The post holder will be expected to undertake unsupervised installation, fault diagnosis, pre planned maintenance and repairs to a wide scope of building services, engineering plant and associated equipment. A flexible approach and willingness to learn new skills is essential in this varied role.

You must be able to work alone without direct supervision, as well as working as a team member when required. Supervision of other maintenance workers will be required as directed
You should be a car owner/driver and will be re-imbursed for mileage travelled on official duties. You may also be required to drive NHS vehicles (e.g. small vans) from time to time. Able to participate in the on call system.
Main duties of the job
To assist the Estate Services management team to deliver high quality and value-for-money building services across the Trust's properties, particularly ensuring equipment, fabric and utility services comply with all health and safety regulations, NHS standards, manufacturers' recommendations and any other statutory requirements.
The post holder will undertake multi-skilled works to all Trust properties. Duties will include installing, maintaining, servicing and repairing a range of Electrical and building equipment, working internally and externally. This will include maintenance of equipment, fabric and utility services for all Trust-owned properties as well as those leased and maintained via contract.
The post holder will take part in the emergency on-call rota, providing an effective out-of-hours cover and reacting to emergency calls.
