Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the financial planning & reporting team and manage the commissioning andcontracting section within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will be able to lead and motivate others. We are looking for a highly organised individual who is able to build good relationships. You should be confident, self-motivated and be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and expertise in financial management of contracts and/or commissioning healthcare services

As a senior manager, you will be expected to contribute to all aspects of financial management in a positive and pragmatic manner.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities of this post will include:

o Supporting the development of service changes and delivery of the Health Board's commissioning plan.o Reviewing and scrutinising business cases which impact upon commissioning and contracting arrangements.o Developing and negotiating Healthcare Agreements with other NHS organisationso Developing and maintaining information systems to monitor and report performance against Healthcare Agreements and ensure thatcorporate income is fully recovered.o Act as finance link for continuing healthcare (CHC) contracting arrangements.o Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in contributing to national policy developments for Commissioning and Contracting.
