Applications are invited for the post ofLocum Consultant ENT Surgeon at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a fixed term contract for 1 year. The workload will be general ENT and otology. There will be involvement in general elective and emergency paediatric care as part of a general ENT on-call.
This locum post will join in an established team of eight Consultant staff providing a comprehensive service to the population of Plymouth, South Devon and East Cornwall.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for a position as a Locum Consultant ENT Surgeon who will undertake general ENT at University Hospital Plymouth. This is a cohesive and friendly department , and we look forward to welcoming the successful applicant to our team.
The workload will include adult and paediatric general ENT as dictated by the needs of the department. The successful applicant would be expected to provide a general service for elective work, and to cover the general emergency ENT workload out of hours on a rota basis (currently 1:7). The post is initially for a period of 6 months but may be extended.
The ENT Department has strong links with the Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry and an interest in undergraduate teaching. There are also ample opportunities for research.
