The Woodfield Stroke Rehabilitation Unit is a small, dedicated facility set within Anchor ward at Bodmin Community Hospital, and taking patients from across Cornwall. We have 9 beds ring fenced for stroke rehabilitation as part of the Cornwall stroke pathway.

We are looking to recruit a B5 OT to join our enthusiastic and friendly team. Previous experience in stroke rehabilitation is desirable but is not essential for this post. This is a stand alone post and is not part of a rotation. This is an outstanding opportunity for anybody who wants to develop a thorough grounding in stroke rehabilitation, both as an occupational therapist and as part of a multi-disciplinary and inter disciplinary team. We will help you to develop both clinically and professionally through formal and informal supervision, and in-service training, but you must also be dedicated to your own Continuous Professional Development.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will have to be able to flexible enough to work the core hours of 8am - 6pm (most shifts start at 8am, but sometimes we flex to begin working at 10am) and some weekend working is also a requirement (typically one weekend a month).

For more information and to arrange to visit Woodfield SRU then please contact Robert Downie, Occupational Therapist/Therapy Team Lead on 01208 251390/251371 or via Robert.downie1@nhs.net
