We are seeking talented and experienced Band 5 IT focused administrator to work alongside our IT lead within Urgent Care.
The postholder will be require to aid in the daily support of the Emergency Department IT systems, namely those used for Record and Verify (R+V), scheduling and Quality Assurance. To be involved software upgrades , including regression testing of new versions and logging system errors. To aid in developing and implementing new functionality in the Emergency Department systems.
Post Holders will be expected to work core business hours which are Monday-Friday excluding Bank Holidays. We would expect the post holder to be available outside of core hours should the need arise for more bespoke request and business essential IT upgrades/support.

1.To be first line support for the Oceano ED application to users and raise helpdesk calls as appropriate on 3rd party provider ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner. To log any systems errors with the system suppliers and to ensure resolution of issues.
2.To support in the design, development and maintenance of business operational reporting.
3.To aid in the development of Ad Hoc reports (within Chimera) as required by users of the Emergency Department.
4.To support in the account management for IT systems used within the Emergency department.
5.To take ownership of helpdesk calls raised on 3rd party provider ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
6.To support in the testing of software upgrades/maintenance releases of IT systems used by the Emergency Department as appropriate.
7.The post holder will facilitate, train, coach and support users of the Oceano ED IT system and other departmental IT systems (e.g. Adastra. MobiMed, Scribe) and provide support on best practice to ensure efficient utilization of systems.
8.Assist in the development of teaching packages and a support infrastructure for a range of staff using the electronic systems within the Programme / project.
9.Using data warehouse output to generate reports to support business decision making and business performance monitoring. Ensure all reports have a specification and are updated as required.
10.To support with the creation of new specifications and maintenance of Forms and To Do List functionality with the Oceano ED IT system.
11.Ensure that Snomed updates are actioned as appropriate.
12.To support the department to ensure they are compliant with all relevant national NHS Information Service Notification changes.
13.To support on departmental IT system-related projects as and when required.
14.Participate in improvement projects and contributing to and acting on outcomes to achieve successful implementation Assist with the development of new processes and the enhancement of existing procedures in order to meet the changing needs of the Emergency department and ensure that standard operating procedures are kept up to date.
15.Produce information from the Emergency Department Systems which is consistent and accurate with regard to data definitions, calculations and presentation. This will include maintenance of corporate reporting to meet local conventions and national guidelines as specified in Dataset Change Notices, the NHS Data Manual and NHS Data Dictionary.
16.To monitor and improve data quality within the Emergency Department databases by performing audit, presenting this back to users, developing new data collection procedures as appropriate and documenting these procedures within the Emergency Department Quality system.
17.Contribute to effective team working within the Emergency department, by transferring skills and knowledge to appropriate staff and ensuring working procedures are properly documented and maintained so that processes can be maintained in the absence of the postholder.
18.Use their initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work.
19.Take ownership of equipment supplied to enable job role to be fulfilled, including teaching staff on the use of equipment.
