The York Outreach Recovery team are looking for a team manager to cover a 12 month secondment. The post holder will be a dynamic , approachable and motivated individual. As a team manager you will be apart of a wider transformation alongside hands on clinical work when required. The job involves some clinical work directly inputting into the team via caseload management, MDT meetings and case discussions.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be key to maintaining service delivery and moving the service and team forward to meet the needs of the communities within the area.
The successful candidate will require good communication skills, be adaptable and flexible in their thinking and supportive in approach.
Being able to work with partner agencies is key for this role as the York Outreach Recovery Team work alongside a number of different stake holders to support successful delivery of holistic care.
You will be accountable for the day to day management and operation of the team, you will provide details and data around key performance indicators, review incidents and provide service reports. The post holder will complete management supervision with the team also.

Qualifications
Essential
- Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
- Certificate in teaching & assessing in clinical practice as appropriate to own profession.
- Clinical Supervisor.
- Leadership or management qualification or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale.
- Quality Improvement Systems for Leaders or willing to undertake within agreed timescale.
- Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
Desirable
- Post-graduate diploma in a relevant area.
- Previous experience working in an operational role
Experience
Essential
- Significant experience working with adults with complex mental ill health and/or learning disabilities in a community setting.
- Significant experience of providing clinical supervision and/or mentoring.
- Demonstrable leadership or management experience
- Significant role in quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrable experience reviewing incidents
Knowledge
Essential
- Demonstrable experience of working with HR process and policies
- Good understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act) and its application in practice.
- Good understanding of governance and its application in practice.
- Detailed understanding of Clinical Risk Assessment and Management and its application in practice.

- Budget Management and Financial Standing Instructions.
