Job summary

The NWL Procurement Services (\NWL PS) is part of Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, and provides procurement and supply chain management services across all members (\NWL Members) and we are excited to seek a new member of our team as the Business Support Manager to join the Manage & Enable Directorate.

The Business Support Manager will take responsibility for maintaining a comprehensive day to day procurement administrative leadership and support function to the Manage and Enable Directorate (M&E) to enable the overall NWLPS to deliver excellent customer service, best value for money and compliance with NWL PS governance. The Business Support Manager shall work in accordance with direction from the Director of Procurement Excellence, Head of Contracts Management and SRM, Head of Performance & Reporting and Head of Social Values & Sustainability, to ensure that procurement processes effectively support NWL PS strategies and plans.

The post holder will develop and maintain outstanding working relationships with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. There is a requirement to work with minimal supervision and show flexibility within the multi-disciplinary team. In addition, there will be provision for business management, risk management, corporate governance and development as the overall NWLPS further continues the journey of delivering first class services to the Sector.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for the provision of management and business support to the Manage and Enable Directorate function.
  • Coordinate and implement cross cover support to office/administration functions
  • Manage defined business, administrative and strategic projects within the division.
  • Effective and efficiently manage diaries calendars for high level meetings.
  • Manage the Freedom of Information requests on behalf of the NWLPS.
  • Manage documentation tracker for the division, assist with implementing and change control process.
  • Manage related finances and routinely prepare business reports to ensure the division is diligent in the execution of its responsibilities and can demonstrate value for money through its deliverables.
  • Assist and support the development of an interactive calendar on a rolling 12 month period which provides up to date information relating to all related events.
  • Assist the Heads in M&E directorate to manage Allocate system. Ensure any absences are appropriately recorded following the CLCH policies.
  • Manage effectively the diary on behalf of the NWLPS MD and where relevant support scheduled regular meetings with client hosts.
  • Manage and maintain the organisation organogram, with variations available dependent on requirement.
  • Assist with Third Party project providers i.e.: SRM, Lean & Sigma, Category projects as requested by the Director or senior managers.
  • Assist with communication strategy & event management.
