This is an exciting opportunity working within the Theatre and Anaesthesia Directorate at Broomfield hospital recently rated as Good by the CQC. We are a dynamic team working to ensure high standards of care for all our patients and the development of our staff to enable them to reach their full potential.

The main purpose of this joint role is working closely with and on behalf of the Theatre leadership team, in assisting developing policies, procedures, guidelines, systems and processes, which will ensure the organisation is able to meets it's statutory, regulatory and NHS compliance requirements.

Main duties of the job

Daily assessment of patient safety issues, Compliance and regulatory requirements within Theatres

Maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Maintain and promote effective communication within the care team and with colleagues, patients, relatives and visitors

Work closely with the theatre team making sure the current policies and procedures are followed and also ensuring that changes in practice that may be beneficial to patient care are considered.

This role requires 50% of the working week to be spent on clinical duties in theatres including scrub duties and participating in Floor coordinator duties.

Participating in observational audit and undertake Tenable audits. Ensuring the actions have been completed.

Participating and contributing in LOCSSIPs meeting and facilitating the recommendations identified.

Ability to resolve conflicts that may arise during change implementations.

Challenge unacceptable practice in clinical area.
