Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated nurse to join the Gynaecology nursing team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital as a Sister. The role will be based across the Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit (EGAU) and Gynaecology Inpatient Unit (GIU), full or part time hours, working at band 6 level. This is a position with day-to-day responsibility for leading and supporting a team of skilled nurses, ensuring provision of compassionate and clinically excellent care for patients accessing our services.
The EGAU is a 24:7 service and works in tandem with the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit providing high-quality emergency gynaecology and early pregnancy care.GIU is the setting for women undergoing emergency and elective gynaecological surgery. The Sister and wider nursing team work by shift allocation over the two areas.
The successful candidate will have an interest in continuous quality improvement of care including the patient experience.They will have at least 2 years experience working in gynaecology or related field and will report to the Nurse Manager.

Main duties of the job
This role ensures the maintenance of a high standard of nursing care at all times. This will be achieved through the effective management of staff and resources,delegating patient care to nurses with the appropriate level of skill at all times.
