Warwickshire Special Care Dental Service, in collaboration withNHSE-Midlands (WT&E), is seeking applications for a Leadership Fellow

A combined job description and person specification is attached. This is a full-time post with a salary at DCT3/ST1 level (�51, 017).

HEE anticipates that 0.4 WTE will be spent on project work under the direction of senior NHS leaders. However,NHSE-Midlands (WT&E)also recognises the importance and value of maintaining clinical skills. The posts will therefore have a 0.6 WTE clinical sessions based in Warwickshire Hospitals and clinics delivering paediatric and special care dentistry and acquiring associated skills. The clinical activity is not related to a contractual requirement (UDA).

This is not a formal training post and will not have a national training number. It will provide 12 months of excellent experience in which post holders can develop themselves to gain skills which will be attractive to future employers and training programmes.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

Essential

  • oBatchelor of Dental Surgery degree (BDS) or nationally recognised equivalence
  • oInclusion on, or eligibility for inclusion on, National Dental Performer List


Desirable

  • oIntercalated degree, BSc, BA, Masters, MBA, PhD or PGCert
  • oExperience of project and programme management techniques and tools


Eligibility:

Essential

  • oMinimum of 3 year's post registration experience in clinical dentistry


Fitness to practice:

Essential

  • oRegistered and in good standing with the General Dental Council (GDC)
  • oUp to date evidence of Continuing Professional Development and PDP


Academic / Professional

Essential

  • oKnowledge of specialist healthcare delivery.


Desirable

  • oAcademic prizes, distinctions, honours degree
