Job summary

An exciting opportunity had arisen for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the Emergency Department in a busy and fast paced operational environment working closely with the GIM Operational Manager, Service Manager and Matrons.The post holder will create and manage the day to day operational administrative requirements of the emergency department rota's nursing and administrative teams, ensuring all gaps are clearly highlighted on our rota system.

The post holder will support the Service Manager, GIM Operational Manager and wider divisional team in the delivery of performance and business objectives; with responsibility for the emergency department (ED). This will require close working and liaison with the consultants, ED senior management team, nursing staff, ED secretaries and the ED admin teams. The post holder will also be expected to 'deputise' for the GIM Operational manager in managing the operational duties for the department, when required.

We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate team leader and/or management skills and are passionate about service improvement and access to high quality patient care. You should have great communication skills and thrive working within a busy and changing environment. Knowledge around NHS national targets/standards is desirable as is previously line management experience. Excellent customer service experience is essential and these skills can be demonstrated in your application and interview.
