This is an exciting opportunity to join the performance management team in North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will gain valuable experience working as part of a new and dynamic team and will be expected to proactively support the improvement of performance standards.

The post holder will be expected to demonstrate excellent analytical and skills, working across a wide range of data and information, reporting on opportunities and issues and articulating these to our stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:
  • Be responsible for providing reporting and intelligence to a range of stakeholders across planned and unplanned care. This will be through the production of routine reporting, information requests internally and externally and specific investigations in to drivers of performance.
  • Take a lead on specific projects or aspects of a project. With responsibility for, day-to-day delivery and monitoring of plans as required to ensure that risks and issues are mitigated.
  • Will work with clinicians and managers to summarise information, risks and issues to facilitate the provision of the best possible patient experience and service delivery.
  • Will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of interdependencies and delivery of objectives.

The post holder will have regular contact with a wide range of clinical and managerial staff, administrative and clerical support staff at many levels and occasionally with patients, relatives and external agencies.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent level of knowledge, experience and skills


Desirable

  • Significant training or experience in Programme Management and Improvement Methodologies i.e. NHSI - QSIR, Prince 2
  • Leadership course or qualification


Experience

Essential

  • Experience of Programme Management including reporting and tracking of action plans
  • Working with sources of benchmarking opportunity and use to inform decision making
  • Working with key stakeholders from multi-disciplinary backgrounds to achieve results and positive culture of delivery
  • Achieving results from staff under direct and indirect control


Desirable

  • Proven experience of leading and delivering on significant change projects in a complex organisation


Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge and understanding of National RTT Rules
  • In depth knowledge of using lean and the methodologies which underpin it
  • Able to provide subject matter expertise on transformational change, project management, structured problem solving and data analysis
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving high standards and delivering objectives


Desirable

  • Knowledge of health intelligence, benchmarking and data sources
