Job summary
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work on Aquarius Ward, a general adolescent unit with 12 beds on the newly developed Springfield site in South West London. We are looking for a consultant with the interest and skills in providing strong medical leadership to take our services forward.
The experienced and dynamic team on Aquarius provides inpatient treatment for adolescents aged 12 to their 18th birthday with severe mental health problems.
This post is a part time (0.5 wte) to join an existing colleague as a job share with overlap session for continuity of care and handover. It has become available due to the previous full -time post-holder having a sabbatical career break from the Trust. It is offered a 12 month locum contract. For applicants wishing to work more sessions there are additional opportunities with the Trust in CAMHS and some flexibility within this role.
There are close working relationships with the Adolescent Outreach team who provide an integrated service for young people in the 5 local boroughs of the Trust as well as other units within the South London partnership. The service aims to offer seamless and flexible care, providing the most appropriate level of support required by the young person and those caring for them at different stages of their recovery.
As a Trust we are proud to offer agile and flexible working opportunities as part of our new ways of working. You will be able to work Monday to Fridayfrom 8am to 6pm.
