Are you ready for a change? Are you a dynamic dietitian, with experience in Diabetes and a desire to develop your leadership skills? If so, this exciting new Specialist Diabetes Dietitian Lead post could be for you!

Join us and be part of a diverse Dietetic Division which spans four hospital sites in vibrant Greater Manchester, comprising of 70 Dietitians.

We are a friendly, energetic and expanding dietetic department at North Manchester General Hospital.

You will be an integral part of both the multidisciplinary Diabetes Team and Dietetic Team, participating or leading on improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and other clinical governance activities. You will provide clinical supervision for pre-registration placements and support professional development of post graduate dietitians.

Your own knowledge and skill progression are also extremely valued, and the department actively encourages CPD activities and personal development.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the delivery of an effective, high-quality dietetic service for adult patients with diabetes, at North Manchester General Hospital. This will mainly consist of out-patient services with some in-patient work for complex cases. You will deliver a range of individual and group education including, DAFNE, carbohydrate counting, dietary advice for insulin pumps and gestational diabetes, alongside Diabetes Specialist Nurses and Diabetologists.

A flexible and enthusiastic attitude with excellent communication and team working skills are essential, along with an expert knowledge of diabetes and a sound knowledge of nutrition support.

To apply for this post, you must have a degree, postgraduate diploma or Master's Degree in Dietetics and current HCPC registration.
