FHFT have an exciting opportunity to join our team providing recruitment and pastoral care supporting our ambitious International Radiology programme.

Due to increased demand, this new role will be imbedded within the Radiology team , working closely with recruitment function to ensure , attraction, interviewing, coordinating international travel, supporting with accommodation, onboarding and orientation of new candidates to Frimley NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

Working to support the Radiology Services Management team and will report to the Radiographers Service Manager.

Supporting radiology resourcing requirements, campaigns, and recruitment advice. You will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

To act as an ambassador for HR developing and maintaining relationships with users across Radiology to deliver a high quality recruitment, Co-ordinate local inductions for all staff, make arrangements (communicating dates, room booking, equipment etc), liaise with Clinical Educators, Service Leads, Modality Leads as necessary to support smooth running of induction.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The post holder will work to support the Radiology Services Management team and will report to the Radiographers Service Manager. Working on radiology resourcing requirements, campaigns, and recruitment advice. The post holder will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders such as:
  • Job applicants and work experience candidates
  • All Radiology staff
  • Clinical Education and International Nurse Recruitment Team
  • Trusts People team, specifically the Resourcing team, HR Business Partners, and the Organisational Development team
  • Frimley ICS Diagnostics Programme team
  • Frimley ICS AHP Team

The post holder will support the provision of a resourcing service to managers and directorates across the Trust.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
  • Develop resourcing plans maintaining management & reporting information. To implement Radiology recruitment plans, supporting assessment centre, facilitating open days.
  • Support/ build relationships with service leads in staff management, recruitment, and engagement
  • Provide specialist resourcing advice, planning and co-ordinating team activities and events to promote a sense of community and belonging for all staff.
  • Supporting managers with advert development, job descriptions providing training and advice as required. Helping facilitate formal and informal networks to promote inclusion and employee voice
  • Track and monitor recruitment, onboarding and staff engagement activities working with HR and Recruitment maintaining accurate, timely and legible records and files.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Use of HR systems, including the Electronic Staff Record (ESR), TRAC recruitment system and NHS Jobs. Maintaining data quality within those systems supporting Radiology Leads
  • Assist with handling complaints, trying to resolve where appropriate, and escalating for discussion or advice as required.
  • Ensure the provision of an effective, customer-focused service that meets the needs of Radiology and recruitment. Constantly re-assess and prioritise workload
  • To ensure that effective communication systems are in place so that the team remains up to date with developments across the Trust.
  • To develop the attraction and selection process and make recommendations to support the recruitment and retention of temporary and substantive staff.
  • To undertake a variety of administrative and support processes and project work, developing and maintaining written procedures and standards within the team.
  • To maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, Trust policies and strategic developments within the Trust and nationally.
  • Attend Stakeholders meetings to ensure an effective liaison service between clinical service and the wider HR team, collating resourcing requirements, providing updates on developments and management information as part of a culture of continuous improvement.
  • To develop effective team working and build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels across the Trust through open communication and constructive feedback
  • Provide pastoral support to new starters, providing support, welcome information, payroll, arrivals, accommodation, and feedback for international candidates arriving at Frimley NHS Foundation Trust

To be responsible for ensuring robust quality systems are in place to support the maintenance and management of files (electronic and paper) ensuring compliance with legislation related to protection and storage of information
  • To act as an ambassador for HR developing and maintaining relationships with users across Radiology to deliver a high quality, Co-ordinate local induction for all staff, make arrangements (communicating dates, room booking, equipment etc), liaise with Clinical Educators, Service Leads, Modality Leads as necessary to support smooth running of induction.
  • Keep regular communication with international candidates prior to UK arrival, keeping candidates updated, sending information, providing practical support, and answering queries.
  • To make accurate and effective use of computerised office systems to create and revise documents, recording all customer interactions and producing routine reports.
  • Attending local and national networking events on behalf of the Trust to keep up to date with recruitment trends, initiatives, and developments. connect all new starters with Trust/ICS health and wellbeing services and regional support networks.
  • Facilitate recruitment events (i.e., open days / assessment centres) plan social events and team activities to improve team cohesion as required, including evenings / weekends.
  • To work with colleagues across HR to ensure systems and processes support agreed SLAs, performance targets and KPI targets are achieved
  • Identify and suggest improvements to new and existing HR policies, procedures, and systems. The support the implementation of any process changes, making recommendations for recommendations for more effective delivery and suggests improvements
  • To take responsibility for organising own workload, working autonomously within broad occupational policies and regulations, providing efficient and effective services.
  • To support the development of resourcing plans, leading on specific campaigns, and ensuring ongoing recruitment activities are in place to ensure the pipeline of candidates remains sufficient to meet vacancy demand
  • To input new starters, staff changes and leavers into ESR, ensuring high quality and timely processing at all times, in line with department procedures and deadlines.
  • To provide cross-cover across the HR Department as required (i.e. during periods of absence) and ensure up-to-date awareness of processes and procedures to maintain ability to cover those functions.
  • To ensure all workers are recruited in accordance with appropriate Trust policies, NHS Employment Check Standards, and current legislation.
