The Pharmacy Department has recently had two new dispensing robots installed alongside a complete refit of the department and a commitment to a fully digital department to work along with our existing EPMA system.

At this exciting time in our development, We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed person with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (Hospital) who is interested in working in the Pharmacy medical team.
The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated, work effectively as part of a team, be enthusiastic and have excellent organisational and communication skills. The candidate will also share our vision to deliver a high quality, cost-efficient service for patients.
The successful candidate would ideally have independent prescriber status, or be willing to work towards it.
Main duties of the job
With a strong focus on ward based clinical work, you will work together with our Medicines Optimisation Technicians to provide ward based clinical service to the Trusts busy Diabetes and Gastro ward.

- Providing medication reviews and pharmacy based clinical advice.
- Working with members of the multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care.
- Prescribing as appropriate to the role, and personal expertise.
- Supporting the specialist IBD and Diabetes nurses with patient care, and development of policies.
- Support the trust Gastro and Endocrine Governance Groups
- Support the Lead Pharmacist for Medicine in service delivery, service improvement and related governance issues and reporting to Gastro and Endocrine teams as needed.
- Supervision of Trainee Pharmacists, and Band 6 and 7 Pharmacists.
