Are you our new Chief Information and Technology Officer/SIRO? An opportunity has arisen at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust for a highly visible leader with an engaging and empowering leadership style and a strong drive for continuous improvement within the information, technology and digital setting.

The successful person will form an integral part of the Executive team, working to the Managing Director they will be responsible for development and execution of the Digital Strategy.

We are looking for someone that has experience of providing strategic and technical I& TS advice to the NHS or comparable organisations and a Track record of delivering large scale change and knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and evidence.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide expert advice and accurate, timely reporting on all technological and information requirements and act as the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) for the Trust, guiding the Managing Director and to the Board of Directors and Executive team in ensuring the achievement of Trust wide objectives, targets and contracts.

The appointed person provide leadership on and manage complex technology issues across the entire Trust and lead the overall delivery of the Digital Strategy working closely with the Chief Clinical Information Officer and Clinical Safety Officer.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to Master's Degree level or equivalent specialist qualification
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development


Desirable

  • Management or business qualification at a level appropriate for the seniority of the post


Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Experience of providing strategic and technical I& TS advice to the NHS or comparable organisations
  • Track record of delivery at Director/Senior management level, including exposure at Board


Desirable

  • Experience of working at senior level in a large complex organisation (in or outside the NHS) leading on digital, IT and information services
