full/part time permanent clinical fellow in breastcare
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic doctor to join our busy department in North Bristol NHS Trust. Some experience of working in a breast clinic is desirable, however there will be opportunities to train the successful candidate further (both with external courses, and in house training).
The successful candidate will be based primarily in the breast clinic, with opportunity to spend some time in theatre, MDTs, admin, audit and research.
The role is 40 hours a week, with no on call commitment.
This is a 2 site service with occasional requirement to cover clinic in Weston General Hospital.
There will be close supervision and support from senior clinicians, however as the candidate becomes more confident, the aim will be to run one stop clinics independently.
We anticipate that over time we would encourage and support the clinician to develop competency in Ultrasonography of the breast, allowing further career development and opportunities within the department.
This is an exciting new post offered as part of a significant investment in the development of our workforce, subsequently we are looking to appoint a candidate who would like to be part of a long-term service development within Breastcare. There will be lots of opportunities for progression and development within the breast unit and we are looking for an enthusiastic clinician to come in to the team and make the most of this excellent new role.
Main duties of the job
full duties described within the job description
The learning objectives of the post will be set out specifically with the supervising consultant at the start of the post.
Clinical experience
This is a permanent role in the breast service, ideally suited to an enthusiastic clinician looking to develop their career in Breastcare
We would anticipate that the successful candidate will develop their breast clinical skills within the breast unit, and that over the years, will be able to tailor this role to any particular areas of special interest.
