Job summary
The Freedom of Information Manager is responsible for managing the Trust's legal obligation of adhering to the Freedom of Information Act 2000. This is a key role to protect the Trust from reputational risk by ensuring Freedom of Information disclosures are appropriate and accurate. The postholder will have autonomy to work under theirown authority and initiative; planning and prioritising their own time to ensure requirements are achieved and deadlines met.

- Running a service compliant with legal requirements including the timeframes for responding to requestors
- Applying exemptions and related legal tests
- Coordinating internal reviews
- Updating the Freedom of Information Policy for the Trust in line with legislative, regulatory and procedural change
- Maintaining the Trust's Publication Schedule
- Other projects within the Information Governance Team
