Job summary

This is a new role within the CAMHS Service at The Beacon Centre. We are looking for a motivated and passionate CAMHS Professional who is seeking a to develop a role that is varied, interesting and crucial to ensuring excellent patient experience every step of the way.

This role will support the service in ensuring patients receive a high quality of care throughout their journey within both CAMHS Inpatient Service and the newly commissioned CAMHS the Day Hospital Service at the Beacon Centre.

We are looking for an experienced CAMHS professional to perform specialist personalised, assessment and higher-level discussion of patients holistic needs, resulting in personalised care planning and evaluation of care delivery using advanced clinical knowledge and clinical skills.

Demonstrate higher level clinical care by managing a patient caseload providing expert assessment, planning, and treatment.

Main duties of the job

  • To Lead and develop the Day Hospital Service for a small group of young people with the view to reducing length of stay within Inpatient Care and where possible avoid admission.
  • To provide support to the CAMHS Modern Matron to deliver sound and robust clinical Governance within the inpatient Ward and Day Service Model.
  • Acts as a role model demonstrating high standards of care and providing clinical promote a culture that supports self-management as well as providing specialist education and training to other professionals involved in young people's care.
  • Leads the development, management and promotion of the service ensuring the delivery of high quality, cost-effective care.
  • Collate and record quantitative and qualitative data to provide evidence of productivity, outcomes, and quality, through audit and research
  • Participates in service reviews to drive service improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS/ TRAINING

Essential

  • Nursing Degree/Diploma Valid and up to date Nursing registration.
  • Evidence of Masters level learning or prepared to work towards


Desirable

  • DBT, Solution focussed and/or CBT training
  • MSc in Relevant Training to CAMHS/ Risk Management.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Experience of working with Young People and Families with mental health and emotional crisis presentations.
  • Ability and experience in dealing with developing and implementing systems that support clinical excellence.
  • Experience of leading a team to achieve objectives and high standards of patient care.


Desirable

  • Experience in managing an Inpatient and outpatient caseload.
  • Experience in delivering Groups and individual intervention (CBT,DBT, Motivational and occupational)
