We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dietitian with good team working skills to join our multidisciplinary specialist weight assessment and management team. This post involves providing dietetic care predominately to the tier 4 service preparing and supporting patients with their surgical journey. You will work with other dietitians, surgeons, specialist nurses, psychologists and endocrinologists. We have a close working relationship with the tier 3, specialist weight management service and there is scope for this position to be flexed across both services.
This is a full-time, fixed term post. We will happily accept applications from those who are interested in flexible working or a job share. We have embraced hybrid working and can offer flexibility to suit both yours and the teams needs.
This role is predominantly based at Southmead Hospital, with capacity for home working and may require travel to other sites such as Cossham hospital.
Main duties of the job
Experience in the assessment, dietary management and management of common nutritional complications which arise post-operatively are desirable for this post but training can be provided.
About us
The obesity team work closely together and provide a brilliant model for multi-disciplinary team working. We have regular team meetings and annual away day to help cultivate that team bond which is so important due to the challenging nature of the work.

Southmead Hospital is in the heart of Bristol, a thriving city full of independent retailers and eateries with a vibrant music scene, plenty of green spaces and of course is the gateway to the beautiful South West.
