Job summary

We are seeking a People/HR Advisor with good experience ready to take their career to the next level. Having gained experience in the fields of employment relations, employee governance and other HR processes (exit, job evaluation) the post-holders will be responsible for providing advisory support and guidance to both AFC Workforce and Medical Workforce staff groups.

Highly committed to the NHS people agenda you will have gained experienced in the broad range of people related requirements of a busy Mental Health and Community Trust in London. Excellent verbal and written skills are a must in support of the ability to influence and negotiate as are high levels of computer and systems literacy. The ability to analyse data and generate robust reporting is also a must.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the People Services Hub Manager, the People Services (Medical) Adviser is responsible for providing general HR Advisory services to the Trust's Divisions and supporting Employee Relations activity within the Medical Workforce, in support of the Trust's Head of Medical Workforce.

This includes: providing employee relations advice concerning general terms and conditions of employment and application of key people-related policies such as Organisational Change, Grievance, Attendance and Flexible Working; in addition to advice and management of employee relations cases (e.g. sickness, performance, grievance and disciplinary cases etc); supports medical workforce specific activity (such as rostering or induction) as necessary.

The post holder is also responsible for setting up and managing centralised systems and processes to provide assurance around the governance and on-going management of all casework, the Trust's employment-related policies and procedures, Job Evaluation system and the Trust's DBS, Fixed Term Contracts, Professional registration and 'Right to Work' processes.
