Job summary

To co-ordinate and provide skilled nursing (without direct supervision) to patients, in accordance with responsibilities under the NMC Code of Conduct in line with the General Practice contract.

To contribute to the continued development of thenursing team, including the supervision of junior nurses, student nurses and support staff.

To work collaboratively within the wider Multidisciplinary team, internal and external to the organisation, to facilitate holistic seamless care delivery for all Trust Patients.

Main duties of the job

To support the lead nurse for the designated outlet in the efficient ruuning and effective delivery of services for the PCN population.

As well as delivering high standards of general practice nursing care, within the remit of Long term conditins and general practice contract delivery.

As a senior practice nurse the expectation will be to lead by example and act as a mentor to junior staff, ensure competancey and safe practice within the team.

Steering the team and outlet to high standards in terms of CQC requirments and governance.

Contributing to team learning and improvement projects as identified.

    Experience

    Essential

    • Recent post registration experience as a General Practice Nursepost-registration experience, within General practice.
    • Evidence of recent and ongoing professional development
    • Working to achieve the Government QOF.


    Desirable

    • Preceptor ship


    Qualifications

    • RN adults with current NMC registration
    • ENB 199 or equivalent qualification/experience

    • Teaching qualification
    • Assessing qualification
    • ENB 199/100/124 Or equivalent
