Job summary
Are you a Mental Health Nurse with experience or a newly qualified Band 5 Mental Health Nurse ? We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking Nurse to join the dynamic Hull Integrated Care Team for Older People.
Your role will include holding a caseload of clients with a range of mental health issues. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary professional team formulating care and treatment plans for individuals and work closely with their carers and families.
Your team base will be at Townend Court in Hull and cover Goole but you will also be working remotely from home as part of our new agile ways of working. You will be part of a supportive and friendly team made up of different disciplines. You will have the opportunity to gain clinical skills and learn evidence based therapeutic ways of working.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Nurse to join our team with a professional and caring attitude who is keen to develop themselves further.

Main duties of the job
As part of this role, the successful candidate will:
- Provide and coordinate client care, support and educate clients and their families about mental health, and provide advice and emotional support to clients and their families.
- Utilise therapeutic skills and clinical nursing skills to develop individual care plans.
- Maintain, as part of continual professional development, up to date clinical knowledge/skills in this clinical field, using information to effect change in practice
- Demonstrate a range of clinical interventions, procedures and practices which are evidence based and relevant to the clinical area
- Administration of depot medications

- Part III or 13 of NMC live register
- A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area
- Standard IT skills
- An understanding of relevant clinical practice/standards within identified clinical area
- Degree/diploma in adult nursing Willingness to undertake mentorship training and responsibilities
Desirable
- Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area
- Demonstrable experience of mentoring pre-registration students
