An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills to join our existing professional hybrid working team of Clinical Coders at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The ACC Senior Clinical coder will be responsible for the mentoring and support of less experienced and trainee Clinical Coders, dealing with complex coding queries escalated through the Clinical Coding Team.
Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines is essential. Senior Clinical Coders ACC are required to work to a high level of accuracy using their own initiative They will undertake to maintain work accuracy of 95% primary coding and 90% secondary coding, demonstrated by the established Trust internal Clinical Coding Audit Program and must code a minimum of 30 spells a day on average.

Senior Clinical Coder ACC qualified Band 5 + 15% R+RIn order to be shortlisted for the Band 5 position you must have held the National Clinical Coding Qualification for a minimum of 12 months, and demonstrate the following criteria on your application form:

- Ability to absorb complex training and knowledge base
- Ability to communicate with all relevant healthcare professions about clinical coding
