Job summary
We are seeking to recruit and appoint motivated and enthusiastic individuals who will be key in the delivery of a robust and effective administration system throughout the Mental Health & Learning Disability Division.
The post holder will provide operational management of the administration staff working in the Mental Health & Learning Disability Division ensuring that services are developed and delivered to a high standard. Previous experience in managing staff is essential.
Working as part of the Management Team, a key aspect of this post will be to ensure sound administrative processes are in place to support the Divisional clinical teams in an efficient and effective way.
You will need to have excellent administrative and keyboard skills including:
Word and Excel at intermediate level
Be proactive and organised and competent in managing your own workload and overseeing the work of the team
Be able to multi-task and remain calm in a very busy office environment.
Main duties of the job
The Administration Manager will be responsible for the provision of operation and day to day management of clerical and administrative staff and services within the Mental Health Division under the supervision of the Business Support Manager.
Working as part of the Management Team, a key aspect of this post will be to ensure sound administrative processes are in place to support the Divisional clinical teams in an efficient and effective way. There is also a requirementto support colleagues providing cover during periods of absence. This will include, answering of queries from admin and clerical staff and the completion of urgent tasks.
Excellent written and communication skills together with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines are essential.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of staff management and leadership. The ability to deliver against competing deadlines, be able to deliver change and have strong communication skills will be required. This will involve working at great pace and with accuracy and you may be supporting some work streams of a sensitive nature.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
