The Adult Southampton Service line (ADS) provide community specialist services, community neuro services, and an early supported discharge provision through Snowdon at Home. We're looking for a Service Manager for Community Neuro and Specialist Services who will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and operational direction to the department.

As Operational Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring effective systems are in place to address data quality issues and ensure effective delivery and to lead the operational embedding of the integrated models of care within the team including shared practice, shared teaching of patient caseloads.

Main duties of the job

*To work with the team to develop and maintain the capacity modelling and escalation process to ensure the effective operational delivery of services locally.

*To lead the development and delivery of streamlined pathways of care associated with the service delivery of the Community Neuro and Specialist Services.

*To lead the development of the service in terms of operational aspects working with the Community Neuro and Specialist Services Clinical Matron/Lead to support the improved quality/quantity of patient care.

*To work proactively and collaboratively with multiple service stakeholder including sister Solent services, secondary care, primary care and the voluntary sector to support streamlined pathways for patient care.

*To take the lead for the development and delivery of specific workstreams identified by the Services Manager and to support implementation of additional workstreams across the URS.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • First level degree qualification or equivalent management experience
  • Recognised Management or leadership Qualification
  • Recent evidence of continued professional development


Desirable

  • PRINCE 2 Project Management qualification (or equivalent)


Experience

Essential

  • Previous management experience including evidence of managing teams including experience of managing multiple specialty teams
  • Demonstrate clear vision of patient care and service delivery
  • Ability to analyse detailed service issues and produce appropriate reports and recommendations
  • Experience and ability in working concurrently on a number of differing issues
  • Previous experience in meeting deadlines
  • Previous experience of managing teams through change
  • Previous experience of managing teams to deliver improved data quality and waiting list performance.
  • Recent operational management experience
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience of interagency and joint working between different provider / external organisations


Desirable

  • Previous achievements in the development of community / hospital/social care services and specialist services
  • Demonstrate teaching experience
