Job summary
Responsible for management of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) wide role for the operational management of mortality review process.
Responsible for contributing to the delivery of Quality Assurance through all mortality review activities; ensuring they are aligned and contribute towards the achievement of the University Health Board's overall strategic objectives for quality.
Main duties of the job
The Mortality Review and Learning Manager will undertake a CTMUHB wide role for the operational management of the mortality review process, responsible for a range of complex, specialist activities including:

The Mortality Review and Learning Manager will undertake a CTMUHB wide role for the operational management of the mortality review process, responsible for a range of complex, specialist activities including:
- Management of the University Health Board Mortality Review Compliance and Monitoring.
- Implementation and Monitoring NHS Wales National Mortality Review System for clinical outcome review monitoring.
- Ensure learning is shared across the Health Board to promote improvements in patient care.

- Education to Master's or equivalent experience
- Broad experience within the NHS
- Knowledge and understanding of mortality review methodologies
- Good knowledge of national health service, and local and national policy
- A good understanding of the NHS and Social Care Landscape
- Understanding of how NICE and other National Guidance underpins/influences organisational policy

- Experience of working within a healthcare organisation at a senior level
- Experience of the mortality review process
- Experience of policy/ procedure development and implementation
- Experience of managing human resources processes / disciplinary procedures
- Ability to review complex information and present it in an understandable way within reports
