Interim HR Advisor- Band 6

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join CLCH bank.

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of operational workforce support in order to ensure best practice people management within their divisions and across the wider People function in CLCH. They will work with the divisional teams and CBU managers and monitor any arising issues or progress on improvement or strategic chance plans

NHS experience Ideal but not essential, good solid ER experience is vital to the role. Hybrid working - 3 days on site Paddington/Wembley - local CLCH site can be considered - 2 days at home.

Main duties of the job

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES? Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff and staff representatives; developing trust and credibility at the division? Be the \first point of call for the division queries and for providing support? Acting as a bridge to the HR Operations team when queries are not being resolved in a timely manner? Support the HR BP in the activities outlined (as detailed below) with specific focus on training, coaching and regular communication and monitoring of any issues arising? Support the HR Assistants, including managing and coaching when neededDivisional support? Provide strategic workforce advise and support through:a. Effective workforce planning and recruitment support to the division based on people and business data insightsb. People data insights - interpreting and analysing data to plan targeted and effective next steps (including KPIs on e.g. discrimination, grievances or sickness) (working with the People Analytics team)? Provide support on culture programmes across division (effective staff involvement, team working and engagement; staff well-being)? Support change management processes and transformation? Support development of new models of working when required (e.g. through skill mix, role redesign or other new ways of working)? Assist interpretation of conditions of employment and other contractual requirements.

Person Specification

Essential and Desirable

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in HR field or equivalent level of experience through working at a HR advisor level
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) member
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Experience of advising managers and staff on HR related matters
  • Previous experience in employee relations, with examples of working on complex cases and satisfying stakeholders in conflict
  • Evidence of the ability to manage conflict and sensitive situations, acting with tact and diplomacy
  • Previous experience in implementation of HR strategy, change management, and measurement of performance
  • Significant experience in development and execution of staff training programmes
  • Experience in delivering resourcing strategies/initiatives for a large organisation
  • Successful development of stakeholder and communication strategies
  • Previously responsible for provision of HR legal and specialist advice
  • Evidence of continued professional development with a focus on employment law or HR operations
  • Great inter-personal skills, with the ability to facilitate effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to manage and convey complex, sensitive, and potentially contentious information regarding a wide range of topics such as redeployment, employee relations, workforce development, and provision of evidence at disciplinary and tribunal hearings
  • Great understanding of human resources, major organisational developments, and employment legislation, supported by theory and experience
  • Understanding of equality and diversity issues with a demonstrable commitment to equality of opportunity
  • Advanced analytical skills and able to draw conclusions from qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources, present evidence in a clear and concise manner, compare potential courses of action, and provide recommendations on complex and specialised HR topics
  • Strategic thinker able to tactically and creatively prioritise work programs in the face of competing demands
  • Ability to support the design, organisation and implementation of strategies and trainings

  • Master's degree in relevant subject
