Job summary
We are seeking a talented patient focussed manager to join the Gastroenterology, Respiratory and Diabetes and Endocrinology (GRaDE) Operational Management Team. The successful candidate will lead on the operational management of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Directorate.
The Diabetes and Endocrinology team provide outpatient clinics at Sheffield Diabetes & Endocrine Centre at NGH and Medical Outpatients at RHH as well as in community sites across the city.
The Diabetes specialist team comprises medical staff, specialist nurses, dieticians, podiatrists and psychologists. In addition, there are group patient education facilities at NGH where the multi professional team provide structured patient educational programmes. The Directorate offer specialist clinics in all aspects of diabetes and work closely with their academic colleagues.

Main duties of the job
Lead and manage the Directorate in partnership with the Clinical Director, Lead Clinicians and Matrons whilst sustaining effective working relationships with the consultant medical staff, and senior nursing team.
Ensure that the operational and financial requirements of the Directorate are effectively managed and co-ordinated.
Develop patient focused services, identifying future financial, capital and workforce requirements and ensuring that contractual, financial and performance targets are met.
Work with the GRaDE Care Group PMO to coordinate the production of capacity plans and efficiency programmes.
Lead and coordinate the delivery plans for the Directorate ensuring that service capacity is well used and information reporting requirements are met.
Ensure that sound processes are in place to monitor activity, maximise utilisation of resources and meet financial performance targets.
