Looking for an exciting opportunity? well come and join Maryport and Cockermouth ICC as a full time registered nurse .

The successful candidate will work with our evolving community team based in Maryport supporting the local community.

In the community we care for clients with a wide range of complex health conditions. We provide a range of treatments to housebound clients and some practice based clients who require support in wound care, catheter maintenance, compression therapy, insulin administration and care patients with a wide range of other complex long term health conditions. We also undertake palliative care and supporting people to die at home.

Main duties of the job

To provide holistic care to clients in the community, we aim to provide good clinical care to clients and are responsible for assessing, implementing and evaluating care plans.

Good communication skills are essential as you will liaise with nursing and other colleagues in other teams within the ICC to create good working relationships, you will work collaboratively across the multidisciplinary team which include tissue viability nursing, vascular service, continence specialist nurses, colleagues in general practice, paramedics and the day unit staff at Maryport.

To adopt an holistic approach to clients/carers/family in their own homes or elsewhere in the community.

To co-ordinates planned programmes of care with other agencies Document and maintain records professionally and accurately, to attend and contribute to staff meetings, ensure confidentiality at all times.

To provide a high standard of skilled nursing care using evidence based framework.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 1 registered nursing qualifications


Desirable

  • Post registration qualification in teaching/assessing (ENB 998/NST 307) or equivalent
  • Post registration qualification in Acute/Chronic Disease Management
  • Nurse Prescribing


Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable recent community nursing experience.
