We are seeking a dynamic, motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Band 5 staff nurse. You must possess the ability to work flexibly, prioritising the needs of our patients effectively and communicating clearly. You will be required to demonstrate commitment to excellent patient experience, in line with the Trust World Class Care Values, and in support of our patients.
Main duties of the job
5EB has 22 beds and accepts acute urology patients, with the reconfiguration of the Royal Free London incorporating the Barnet and Chase Farm sites.The urology team at the Royal Free can offer valuable support and development coordinated through our Clinical Practice Educators, available for each ward area. There is also a wealth of support provided from the senior nursing team, urology nurse specialists and the Consultant Surgeons. This will start with your comprehensive induction and orientation, and continue with access to formal and informal study sessions and development days, including simulation training. Further university accredited courses are available. A Trust preceptorship programme is available to all newly qualified staff. There are many interesting opportunities for further career development with renal services at the Royal Free.The Royal Free is located within an attractive part of London, with easy access to transport train, bus or tube. We can offer on site accommodation, on site leisure facilities and nursery places. Many of our staff commute from outer London and beyond.Should you be shortlisted for this role you will be invited to an assessment day at the Royal Free Hospital. An assessment day involves a 2 stage interview process (literacy and numeracy test followed by face to face interviews) - please ensure you are available for the whole day.
