An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Nurse to be part of the newly formed OPAT service at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust covering maternity leave on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The post requires flexible working between the acute sites and patients' homes to administer intravenous antimicrobials over a 7-day week. Providing a high-quality service that is patient-centred is important to us and the successful candidate will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse with a flexible, dynamic approach to patient care.
You will be responsible for a specific patient caseload, in hospital and the community , undertaking clinical assessments, monitoring patient progress and contributing to the OPAT MDT.
A full UK driving license and access to a car is essential for this role.
