To enable us to meet the future needs for our service we are seeking a passionate and inspirational colleague with experience in delivering/facilitating IT Clinical systems to join our established team of trainers. An understanding of the primary care setting particularly SystmOne would be desirable.

Main duties of the job

As part of the team, you will be responsible for the planning, design, delivery and evaluation of IT clinical systems training. You will work closely with a wide variety of staff disciplines to ensure training is delivered according to the needs of the service.

The post holder will provide a flexible and comprehensive range of IT training programmes, produce lesson plans and conduct face-to-face, individual and group training sessions for a variety of different clinical and non-clinical groups, tailored to meet the differing requirements of end-users.

The Health Informatics Service, hosted by CHFT, provides a broad range of IM& T services across many diverse customer organisations. A large part of this provision is made up of Professional Services (to accompany Support, Development and Business Support services). These services are based around those functions that provide people, who have highly developed specialist knowledge, skills and experience, allowing them to facilitate, train, manage and advise across a whole range of IM& T related areas. Digital Health Education, Training and Development (ETD) is one of these principal service areas.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will be an integral member of the ETD Team and will be responsible for the identification and analysis of training needs and the development of associated support materials to deliver high quality training courses which meet the requirements of the Organisation and its stakeholders.

The postholder will primarily provide IT clinical systems training and support all digital initiatives within the ETD portfolio.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience (NHS /Training/Change)


Desirable

  • Training Qualification
  • Level 3 IT qualification
  • Accredited IT Clinical system TtT
  • Prince Foundation


Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years working within the NHS.
  • Delivering formal and informal training programmes
  • Proven knowledge and experience of using IT systems.


Desirable

  • Involvement with project working including business change


Training

Essential

  • Relevant training courses attended


Special Knowledge/ Expertise

Essential

  • Specialist knowledge and expertise of current service delivery processes
  • Awareness of security standards associated with information systems.


Desirable

  • Previous training/usability experience in IT Clinical Systems e.g., EPR/Athena/Blood Track/Nerve Centre/SystmOne
  • Good understanding of THIS Digital Strategy
