Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking leader for an exciting new role as Head of Clinical Systems. This is a first DHR connect model of its kind in the NHS between two globally recognised institutions, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust (RMH).
GOSH and RMH have made significant investments in a modern enterprise clinical system (Epic). The Epic system is shared across the two Trusts (a single, hosted solution with bespoke configuration to support the different clinical services) and is managed by a single, joint team, comprising staff from both Trusts. Following implementation, there is an ambition for a continuing programme of optimisation for patient and clinician benefit.
The benefits to our patients include the ability to see their health information in their own time and ease of communication with their care team, with real time access to their results. The system will increase staff productivity and efficiency as well as providing essential data for research. Overall, you will have the opportunity develop new solutions and optimise the technologies across both Trusts that can improve patient care and streamline operations. At your core you will also need to be as driven as we are by improving patient safety, quality, and experience as an explicit priority in all that you do.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have significant experience and knowledge in:

We have policies and procedures in place to ensure that all applicants and employees are treated fairly and consistently. We are proud to be accredited as a Disability Confident Employer, a member of Business Disability Forum and a Stonewall Diversity Champion.
We have active and Executive supported BAME, LGBT+ and Allies, Disability and Long-Term Health Conditions and Women's staff networks.
